If you’ve been using PlantMaster for a while, you’ll notice a change in how reports are organized. This page explains what changed, where to find familiar reports, and why we made the shift.
Nothing has been removed - but reports now live in places that better match how they’re meant to be used.
For clarity, Online Reports have been renamed Web Reports, and PDF Reports are now labeled PDF/Print Reports.
What’s changing
Historically, PlantMaster reports were designed for web viewing but also needed to work for print. That compromise worked, but it meant reports were never truly optimized for either experience.
We’ve now completed two separate improvements:
• PDF reports, designed intentionally for print and sharing as documents
• New web reports, designed specifically for screens, mobile viewing, and grouping multiple reports together
As part of this update, the original web reports are now considered legacy reports and have been relocated.
Where to find legacy reports
Legacy reports are still available and fully functional.
You’ll now find them in the PDF/Print Reports tab, at the bottom of the page (underneath PDF Report options). This keeps all print-friendly and hybrid formats together in one place, and makes room for newer web reports to evolve independently.
If you’ve relied on these reports in the past, you can continue to use them exactly as you did before - they’ve simply moved.
How Simple Presentations work now
When creating new Simple Presentations, PlantMaster now uses the newer web-based reports.
Any Simple Presentation links you’ve already sent will continue to work as they always have. If you need to change which reports are included (adding or removing a report), you’ll create a new presentation using the new web reports.
These newer reports work better across screens and devices and offer more flexible organization, including grouping by Area, Plant Type, or Botanical Name.
What this means for existing projects
• Your reports are still there
• Your plant data and existing reports haven't changed
• You’re not required to switch formats unless you want to
Looking ahead
Moving reports into a web-first format opens up a lot of exciting possibilities.
Think interactive charts you can sort, visuals that respond as you explore, and presentations that feel more like an experience than a static document. This shift gives us the flexibility to keep building richer, more modern ways to share plants and designs—especially for clients viewing projects on phones or tablets.
We’re excited about where this is headed, and we'll continue to move carefully. We'll do our best to keep familiar tools available as new ones roll out. And if you ever have questions, we’re here to help!
