Why start from a palette?
Think of this as your shortcut to a new project. Instead of building a project plant-by-plant, you can take an existing palette and use it as the foundation for your next project.
Find your palette.
First, you'll need to navigate to the palette you want to convert into a project.
Go to the top menu and click Palettes to see a list of your palettes.
โ
Scroll through the list to find the specific palette you want to convert to a project.
On the far right of the palette name, click where it says More with the down arrow. From the dropdown lists, select Convert to Project.
Enter your new project info.
This will pull up a modal window where you can enter the general information for the new project.
When you're ready, click Continue to create a new project from this palette.
๐ ๏ธ PRO-TIP: Before you hit continue, take a quick look at the bottom left of the modal. Youโll see exactly how many plants are included in the new project. It's a great way to double-check that you're grabbing the right plants.
Use your new project.
Success! Now you can continue to manage your palettes or click one of the options to start using your new project!
๐ก NOTE: Converting a palette to a project will NOT impact your original palette. It simply creates a brand new project using those same plants, so your palette stays exactly as it is.
