Show clients exactly which plants support their local environment—right inside your reports. Here’s how to turn it on and what it looks like.
How It Works
All you need to do is set the native region you’re working in, and as you add plants, PlantMaster automatically checks each one’s origin and flags the Natives for you.
Then, when it’s time to create a report or presentation, you decide whether to highlight them or not. If you turn it on, every Native plant will display a small icon right on the image, making it clear and visual for your clients.
But, before you can show off the natives in your reports, you'll need to make sure you've selected the correct native region for the project - otherwise this great feature won't work!

How to Highlight Natives in Reports
Currently, native highlighting is available in PDF reports. Here’s how to turn it on and what it looks like in your finished report.
Open a project and navigate to the Present section.
Select the PDF Reports tab to view all available report options.
Choose the report you want to send and click on its image to open the preview modal.
Once the preview modal is open, make sure set up your page orientation and other settings, then look at very bottom for More Options.
Find the option Highlight Natives (you’ll also see the native region currently set for this project).
Check the box to highlight natives.
Leave it unchecked if you don’t want to highlight them.
Click View PDF or Download to generate your report.
Your PDF will now include visual indicators for native plants!
How Natives Appear in Your Reports
Natives are highlighted in a few key places:
Cover Page
If you’ve chosen to include a cover page, it will display the custom native label you’ve created (e.g., “Kansas Natives” instead of “Midwest Natives”).
If you haven't added a custom label, it will use the PlantMaster native label.
Native Icon
Every native plant will display a small icon in the top-right corner of its image - making it really easy to see how many natives you've included in your design!
Highlighting natives in reports adds clarity and impact. Clients can immediately see which plants are contributing to the local environment!
